chemical process industry, environmental engineering fields, and mechanical
systems development and design fields.
Working as an independent consulting firm or as a turnkey provider of
engineering, design, fabrication, installation and startup services, Townsend
Engineering & Design has developed the technical, engineering, and
managerial skills to assist your company in reaching your goals.
Established in 1989,
Townsend Engineering & Design began as a consulting firm working in the
hazardous waste disposal field. This project was part of a larger hazardous
waste clean up project for the city of Hong Kong and the New Territories. Success
of this project, provided the opportunity for an expansion of the firm into
mechanical systems design.
In 1994, Townsend
Engineering & Design began providing consulting services on the retooling
of three General Motors productions facilities located in the US and Canada.
Consisting mainly of mechanical design and technical support, the project
provided a chance to increase the technical expertise of the company in a new
arena. By acquiring key personnel, Townsend Engineering & Design was able
to distinguish itself as a key provider of mechanical engineering services to
the automotive industry.
During this period
the opportunity arose to provide computer based process simulations that would
allow the project team to forecast any anomalies in the system as designed. By
fulfilling the needs of the customer, Townsend Engineering & Design
increased capability while providing invaluable support to the customer, a
hallmark of how we do business.
Today, Townsend
Engineering & Design is providing technical assistance in process systems
engineering and design, process simulations, mechanical equipment specification
and procurement, and environmental engineering throughout the US, Europe and Asia.
